Just wanna share my experience here. Last March I went to a gathering of one of community which I participate in. It was a great time since we never met each other before. At that time, I met great person. She’s a trainer, she teaches a kind of therapy, and she has very well experience with it. When I see someone so bright like her, I usually think about what is in their life that can make them like that? I know that many story behind it, and surely have up and down. But still, it’s surprised me when I heard about her past. I think it’s a worst thing that can happen to a woman. Yes, you guess, it happened in August 2006, she become a victim of a crime in a taxi, she was robbed and raped..

We heard many crimes in newspapers, on tv, everywhere, everytime. But I seldom to hear about what happen to the victim after that. This woman is something. Many people with such bad experience may still trying to cover the wound but the wound is still there… But this woman decided not to be that way, she didn’t wanna stuck there. Like what her mentor said to her “It’s ok if you’re facing the hard time. The problem is, how long you can stay in it.”

I think less than two years is a short time to recover from that kind of trauma, especially she’s a bright successful woman and a mother too, but seeing her, I know that she’s ok. The wound is healed. She was doing a therapy many times at that time to help her. And now she teaches it to many people, help many other people. She said that this is not about denying the problem, what the therapy do is removing the emotion in that situation, because the emotion like sad, anger, which make us stuck there. It’s a matter of our decision first about how we would like our life to be. And it’s wonderful how even bad things that happen to us can turn our lives and others to a better way.
